Welcome to the MI Kappa Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at Western Michigan University!
Tau Beta Pi is the most widely recognized engineering honor society that includes members from all engineering disciplines. Membership is by invitation only and is based on demonstrated engineering excellence and personal integrity. Tau Beta Pi is a student run organization.
Tau Beta Pi is more than just an honor society. Service to the community and engineering profession are hallmarks of the organization. The MI Kappa Chapter of Tau Beta Pi is a very active chapter that emphasizes service to the local community and the WMU College of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Recent Chapter Awards
Shannon L. Bowerson, a WMU industrial engineering student, has been named a 2007-2008 Tau Beta Pi Scholar in recognition of her "high scholarship, campus leadership and service, and promise of future contributions to the engineering profession." Scholars receive a $2,000 cash award.
