MODA
Merchandising Opportunity Design Association

Merchandising Opportunities Design Association, MODA, was established in 1998 for students interested in the fashion industry. It has helped develop and expand industry awareness throughout the university through fun activities, exciting events, and rewarding volunteer work. MODA grew from only 10 members in its beginning year to over 90 and is now an organization for social, informational, and opportunistic purposes. MODA welcomes students within the Textile and Apparel Studies program as well as anyone interested in fashion.

The members of MODA showcase their talents in two fashion shows a year (one per semester) as well as participate in at least 2 philanthropy and fundraising events each semester. As a MODA member you can be in one of the following committees: Public Relations, Fundraising, Model, Showcase, Graphics, Designer, or Set. Each group works together to make an outstanding and cohesive fashion show.

MODA is open to students of all majors. New students can join within the first 2 weeks of the semester. Otherwise, anyone is welcome to sit in on a meeting to get information for joining next semester and to get a feel for what MODA is about.

Meetings are Monday nights at 9:30pm in 3308 Kohrman.
