Taize

A Taize style of service is primarily meditative but blends music, word, and silence together. It is both a communal and yet largely individual activity.

The songs used are often chant like, but occasionally very festive (in the example of Magnificat). Originally, this style of worship service was developed by the Roman Catholic monastery at Taize, France. It has spread throughout the world and even is found in non-Christian circles.

We ask you, Lord: what do you expect of me?
And the Holy Spirit answers:
I pray in you
Dare to give your life
Dare to go that far.
