Scripture


As one of the foundations of Christianity, scripture should be studied. In this endeavor, we use the brains and intuition that God gave us. The format of ECM's Bible study is informal. No reading is required beforehand and each person brings their own views and ideas to the table. Sometimes scripture is compared with contemporary songs or poems--shedding light on scripture by utilizing more modern inspiration.



What to expect:
1. a handout of the text to be studied will be given out.
2. participants will read the text silently to themselves.
3. the text will be read aloud.
4. reactions to the text will be shared.
5. the text will be analyzed line by line, thematically, or however is best suited to the group and the text.
6. any lessons will be drawn from the text (not necessary to share the lesson that each person gains).
