The Lutheran Student Movement is the national organization of Lutheran college and university students. All students are welcome, however. Every semester there is a regional retreat for the Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky (IMOK) region. These retreats take place on the first weekend in November and the first weekend of April, unless Easter falls on the first weekend of April or there is a schedule conflict. These retreats are a time for spiritual growth and understanding. They also provide an opportunity for Christian college students to meet Christian students from other colleges. If you would like to know more about the IMOK region you can go to the regional web site: http://www.lsm-usa.org/imok/index.html.
Regional Retreat:
Last year's IMOK
regional retreat was Nov. 3-5 at a camp near Mansfield, Ohio. The theme
was "Living Sacrifices." We provide
transportation,
and the cost to our students for food, programming, and housing is
always minimal (usually around $15).
LSM National Gathering:
During Winter Break, there is
a National Gathering of LSM-USA. These usually take place in major
metropolitan
areas (past sites include Chicago; St. Louis; New Orleans; Phoenix;
Albuquerque;
Washington, DC; and Houston, Texas). Most of the pictures on this
site were taken from last year's gathering in New Orleans. This year,
we
will
be going to Denver: contact the office by phone (387-3877) or
email
(rso_lcm@wmich.edu) for more
information.
You can also get information on the National LSM web site: http://www.lsm-usa.org.
