Welcome to
AHP Theta Chapter |
|
|
|
|
Welcome to Theta
Chapter which is the Western Michigan University chapter of Alpha Eta
Rho (AHP). AHP is a coed international aviation fraternity
which provides students an opportunity to meet and socialize with other
aviation students and professionals in the field. The organization
brings together outstanding students, interested faculty and serves as
an outstanding networking medium for the purpose of obtaining a
rewarding career in the aviation industry. This even includes the
maintenance, engineering, and manufacturing aspects of the industry.
Alpha
Eta Rho serves to actively associate interested students of aviation
with leaders and executives in the industry. This close association,
strengthened through the bonds of an international aviation fraternity,
establishes opportunities for all members in their relation to aviation
and inspires interest and cooperation among those in the profession who
are also members of Alpha Eta Rho.

Alpha Eta Rho,
the Greek letters which stand for “air,” came into

spring of 1928-1929 was surprisingly large, and the faculty members as
well as the students were voicing the need for an extracurricular
activity for promoting and organizing their interest in aviation.
Led by Professor Earl W. Hill, who was teaching aviation at USC and
with the assistance of others on the faculty, Alpha Eta Rho was
organized on
April 10, 1929, and after receiving official recognition by the
university, the first election of officers was held May 23, 1929...
